Who we are
DocPingo is operated by Akram Afanga, trading as DocPingo. This policy explains how we handle information when accountants and their clients use the service. Contact [email protected] for privacy questions.
Information we handle
We process account and firm details, client names and contact details, request checklists, messages, uploaded documents and activity such as submissions, reminders and downloads. Authentication and service logs may include technical information about access and errors. Your browser stores session information, preferences and cached workspace data to keep the app responsive.
How information is used
We use this information to run accounts, deliver document requests, control file access, organize exports, manage credits and subscriptions, provide support and prevent misuse. Accountants choose the client information and documents they collect. We do not sell personal information or use uploaded documents for advertising.
Service providers and sharing
Supabase provides authentication, database and private file storage. Google supports optional sign-in and Google Drive exports; Drive access is used to create the files and folders you choose to export. WhatsApp, email and SMS providers receive the messages you choose to send. Paddle handles subscription payments and billing details; DocPingo does not receive full card numbers. Providers may process information in other countries under their own policies. Uploaded documents are available to the requesting workspace and anyone you authorize; keep request links and access codes private.
Storage and deletion
Files remain available while a request is active, unless removed. Archiving a request permanently deletes its uploaded files and disables client access, while retaining request information and history. Automatic archiving follows the same rule when enabled. Keep your own copies before archiving. Provider backups and limited operational records may persist for their applicable retention periods. Copies downloaded or exported to Google Drive are outside DocPingo and must be deleted there separately.
Your choices and questions
You can update your profile and preferences in Settings. Contact support to request account deletion or help with personal data. Clients should first contact the accountant who requested their documents; we can help route privacy enquiries. Sign out on shared devices because the browser caches workspace data. We use browser storage for sessions, preferences and app performance; we do not add advertising trackers. If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date.
